Fulltime in MT 3750FL

Hi there..

My SO and I bought and learned how to live in our first Fifthwheel in December.. it now being Leap day in Febuary.. its been a steep learning curve.

First starting out with a buying learning curve where we walked all over the earth to find the right lay out in a montana or other similarly appointed five oh. when we walked into the 3750 FL and I saw how my wifes face transformed I thought .. good by Yard, BBQ, Smoker, garden, neighbors...ETC. her face said it all.. this was the one for us. a week later and with out my knowledge she put a depoist on the model I am sitting in right now on a day off. We purchased it on line based on the walk thru we did locally. and I am not disapointed. we also saved 20k..

We sorted out a transport company that was not even the cheapest .. but the contract out to other drivers.. yes there were and are insured bonded and licenced.. BUT the contract companys tow rig was garbage and blew diesel soot into all the slides and all over the exterior.. as if that was not enought at some point while our 50k brand new never been seen before coach was on its way to us .. it got damaged.. a nice CD shaped puncture hole in the very back round fiberglass corner right above the tail light..

it arrived at night to Tusayan AZ.. in a snow storm and backed right in .. dropped it off and I caught his name and signed it over, then started to cal my insurance agent because of the damage. It to a bit of haraunging to get all the details but, its almost all done.. the damage was fixed( we had to take an unplanned holiday to Vegas for a week) and the coach is almost all clean. ..
Today We had Toni and her Husband here from "Toni's Canvas" in Lake Havasu AZ to put on our full Skirts all the way around.. she has done a great job and I look forward to being warmer in the snow on the south rim now..

Being a Nuboob to the full time thing was hard at first but after getting rid of many a normal house hold item that just would not fit and seasonalizing our clothes and shoes ETC.. it has gotten better and better.. I DO look forward to summer!

Well, that was an adventure before you even started your adventure. Sounds like you’re all set to enjoy your new home on wheels.

Welcome to the forum and to a new life-style. As long as you don't stay in one place for a long period, you will have many memorable journeys. And don't forget about the importance of destinations - they are an important part of RVing - for many, more significant than the journey. Hope you have the good fortune of enjoying both.
