Electrical Outlet
Ok I am pretty mechanically inclined and can figure most things out on my own but I have an outlet that is throwing me for a loop. I’ve checked all the outlets to include the GFCI and all work but one. I also checked all fuses and breakers, my only guess is a break in the line somewhere. Do you guys have any other suggestions? Also I changed out the outlet just to make sure it was good. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Did you check exterior GFCI outlet(s) as well?
Is the outlet in question on a slide?

Thank you...yes I did check the outside one as well and it is not on a slide. It is a GFCI protected outlet so I know it is in a series, which is why I am confused because it should affect other outlets as well but doesn’t. *♂️

Cameron, I assume you checked voltage when you changed out the receptacle and everything (voltage) was good? And if not, why put in a new receptacle?

Yes I did check and didn’t have any power to it at all, I changed the receptacle because the current wires were very loose when I pulled it out. They basically fell out of the receptacle so I wanted to make sure I had a good tight fit.

The outlets are "daisy chained" from one to the other. The only way to tell which outlet the power is coming FROM is to open up all the outlets and use an ohm meter to find out. There are no wiring diagrams available for Keystone trailers.

Ok and now thinking of it that way then this outlet I am having issues with is the last one in the chain because it has only one set of wires going to it. I am used to thinking of electrical systems being a closed loop circuit, I work on aircraft and most of the systems we deal with are closed loops not daisy chained like this. Looks like I will have a busy weekend checking upstream to see where the disconnect is.

All ac circuits in residential 120v ac are parallel circuits. Think of it like an extension ladder with the "hot" wire powering one side of the ladder, the neutral powering the other side and the rungs are the loads. The same "daisy chaining" ios common in houses where the circuit will enter on outlet on one one side of the outlet and the the screws on the other side connect to a wire leading to another outlet or light switch. The circuit just passes thru the outlet from one side to the other.

Look in the direction the closest outlet. No guarantee but typ[ically they don't use any more wire than is absolutely necessary. Good hunting!
