Heating issues???

Okay so forgot to leave water running and outside water faucet froze, so i left sink faucet on so that if it thawed out it would re-freeze, the dumbass mistake was I forgot to open drain and flooded bathroom, luckily I caught it at lunch. When I got home this evening heater only blows thru living room vent now. Bathroom or bedroom vent doesn't blow heat. I assume the vent filled with water but I suppose did not drain out??????? Any ideas. I am guessing the duct work is air tight which likely means water tight. How do I fix this?????

Would it be possible to remove the floor registers and slip a wet/dry vac hose down into the vent space and turn on the furnace? It sounds like you've got an ice dam in the ductwork that's blocking the heat. As the furnace blows hot air, it'll melt the ice, but you will need to keep the water from flowing further than it already has.

It will "eventually" dry up, but how long it takes and how much leaks out of the seams in the ductwork depends on how much water seeped into the ducts. Remember that as soon as it warms up, any (and most) of the water that's seeped into the trailers belly has the potential to support mold growth, so getting as much as you can out of the ducts before it migrates out on its own will make things easier when the weather warms up.
