Binding Slideout

My main slide uses a motor and single screw on one end to extend the slide. There are two gears connected with a shaft. There are no cables or pulleys.

The slide does not leak and seats properly against the wall when retracted.

My problem is the last foot or so of extension is very slow and almost stops. I am going to smoke a motor or break a shear pin or twist the shaft between the gears.

I have tried the silicone lube with no luck. I can hear metal rubbing against metal during that last foot of extension.

When the slide is extended there must be at least 3-5 feet of tube steel still under the bottom of the main body to support the slide. Has anyone dropped the coroplast and lubed that part of the slide? Are there any adjustments that can be made? Are there plastic/nylon buttons in this area that could be missing?

I have got to do something.

Thanks,
Bobby
