From Vintage Airstream to 2021 Bullet
New to the Keystone family. Previous owner of a ‘69 Airstream Safari that was totaled in a hurricane. All my sweat equity remodeling a vintage AS helped get us in new ‘21 Bullet 250BHS. We love everything about the new space and definitely fits our family of four. It’s been an adventure for the past 10 years traveling the East coast (NY-Key west) and we start a new one with The Keystone Family. Defiantly a different vibe from owning a classic to a TT that has more room than we know how to use. Already done a handful of upgrades and plan on doing several more over the next month or two. Look forward to diving in and researching the forum threads.
Cheers,
Luke

I installed my progressive industries internal surge protector in the rear compartment. We have a new mattress on order (bed in a box), I removed all the vinyl decals from the exterior (less maintenance and a clean look)... Added the furrion 7” backup camera & monitor, two new TPMS through valve sensors, a Blue Ox sway bar. Still to complete: change out the kitchen faucet and shower hand shower, add handle and kick plate to the screen door, install a digital RV lock, one or two Maxx Fan 7000k, 30# LP tanks and cover and put in my EZ start AC module and lastly install a TV in the bedroom.
Almost all easy jobs, just need to carve out some time to get them done.
Does Keystone have 12v power at the middle roof 14x14 vent? I need to take the interior cover off and look. Bathroom “Computer vent fan“ is a definitely a must replace for us.

I have a Bullet Premier and the vent did not have power. My vent was close to the microwave so I removed it to access the 12V from the stove vent hood. I ran a wire from the vent hood, through the microwave cabinet and into the ceiling - and lastly over to the vent. Put the microwave back in.

Welcome from Nc. Enjoy and sounds like you got a lot done already and k ow what you ar doing. I enjoyed doing the small upgrades I have done on ours. TPMS, covers over the vents, shade in the entry door, Furrion’s camera system side and rear. Installed safe in bedroom.

Bo, congrat's on the upgrade to the Bullet. Might I suggest one small item? Since you plan on going from 20 to 30# tanks, why not make it 40# instead? You would be more than doubling the 20# and not much higher in price.

I had the 30’s on my Airstream and when insurance grabbed it they had me remove, so it’s an easy and free upgrade. Thanks for the suggestion.

Bed Air Shocks / Hatch lift / DIY Kit
Upgraded our mattress to an eight inch foam "bed in the box" and look forward to getting to use it soon. Added air shock / hatch lift for a 19" opening and found the Hatchlift company. Looked at their specs and purchased a poplar board from HD and a couple parts from Amazon. Used a pocket hole drill to the 1x4 to mount the brackets for the shocks.
Works great and was able to do it for less than $30.
Parts Purchased:
* SUSPA 24 LB Gas Spring/Prop/Strut/Shock (set of 2) C16-06389
*10MM Ball Stud Mounting Bracket for Gas Struts Lift Supports Shocks Spring Prop Silver 4PCS, Include 16 pcs Screws
*1x4x6 Poplar board
