2012 Springdale - manually override for powerjack?

Hi!
We just bought a new Springdale 28 with the superslide and we had it in storage for a few weeks. We went to pick it up and the battery is dead. We were told that there was a way to override the power jacks but now we can't find anyone to tell us how! We are charging the battery but it is still a mystery. Can anyone help?

There should be a small hole on one side of your RV close to the front landing jacks. This hole is there to allow a long-handled crank to be inserted into the manual override mechanism. Somewhere, there should also be the crank for this purpose.... might be located in a compartment near the front landing jacks. (I assume these are the jacks that you are referring to and not the override for the slide mechanism........)
You might also try plugging in the 12v power cord into your running truck to see if that will provide enough "juice" for you to operate the jacks.

I just went out and looked at the pwer jack on the front of my 2011
Springdale 266SS.

On mine there are two removable black plugs one on each side that
when removed reveal a bolt, but not anykind of access to manually
use the front jack.

As stated above, plug the 7 pin into your truck and that should give
you enough power to run the jack up or down as needed.

In the future when you store your TT you may need to unhood the
battery wire since there are power eaters in the trailer that will
draw down your battery while in storage (ie. clock, carbon monozide
monitor, or you left a light turned on?).

But all that said, on my car trailer the electric tunge jack has a wrench
to manually crank it up or down.

Hook it up to the the trucks 7 pin connector and turn the vehicle on. You will get the power you need to operate the tongue jack. For the future you will need to install a battery disconnect switch or unhook the battery before storing. The parasitic load on the battery from monitors will kill the typical deep cycle 12 volt battery quickly.
