Refrigerator question????

I have a new Dometic refrigerator. It works great and keeps the proper temp's as it should. I leave the RV plugged in while in storage (my barn) but, it seems to run or have a buzzing sound most of the time. It's not annoying, it just concerns me that it runs so much. Is this normal? I don't remember my other RV's doing this. Thanks

Sandy -

We have the "side vent" fridges in our Alpines. What you hear is not the fridge running, but the circulation fan running. Hey, it's Texas, it's May, and summer is here! I would bet your other fiver didn't have the fridge on a slide and had a roof vent. The circulation fan is needed because of the side vents.

There are a few of us who have modified, rather enhanced, the fridge fan. I have a post under Mods along with a couple of other members. You might like to check these mods out, especially for South Texas!
