Furnace won’t work

**Newbies here**
2002 cougar.
When the furnace is turned on and set at 80 the blower comes on for 30 seconds and the shuts off. It won’t light. Propane is full. Water heater is working and stove as well.
It’s cold tonight 🥶
We bought it in April and the previous owners never used the furnace. Any ideas?

18 years old and the furnace never used.....? You probably need to check the sail switch and see what's happening there.

Where is that? And what is that? Idk if it’s been used before the previous owners or not.

Another possibility is mud dawbers built a nest on the burner. I’m thinking it needs to be looked at by someone.

There are several possibilities that could be going on. Are you plugged into shore power (in a campground where you have the trailer electric cable plugged in)?

When the blower runs can you hear a clicking sound coming from the furnace (that would be the ignition spark)?

Yes plugged in to shore, no clicking.

With the age of the unit you could have several different issues causing your problem... sail switch hi limit switch, igniter gap, control module, corroded or loose connections on the furnace control module...

If you don’t have mechanical and electrical skill sets quite frankly I’d shop around for a mobile RV tech and have it looked at...

Here is a short pdf I put together for Atwood furnace unit...Suburban is similar except no LED on control board...

This will give you a basic idea of what your looking at for troubleshooting and repair

Then if you aren't comfortable and or experienced with working on a gas appliance then I'd recommend having it serviced by a qualified technician.

Went through this past Spring with an 19 year old furnace. Igniter was bad on mine. May be the Sail Switch. Put your Furnace model on YouTube, lots of good info there.
