Outback Air Sofa/Sleeper

Will someone tell me how the bed inflates. I'm not at the trailer and I can't find anything about it in the Owner's Manual. We are doing a trip at Thanksgiving and will experiment with it then. DW is having a "Girl's Weekend" in December and they will need to use the air bed.

My Springdale's airbed is an AeroBed brand with a built-in 120v pump and a wired remote to inflate/deflate. Very comfortable and easy to use. Since RV manufacturers use whatever is available and cheaper at the time, yours might be a different brand but similar in functionality. Pay attention when storing it away under the sofa fold so it does not get damaged.

Enjoy!

Thanks, I suspected that it might have a self contained pump.

Outback air beds

2011, 329FBH, 5er. The front bunk house room has a fold out bed which has a built in pump that simply plugs in.

The LR area has a sofa bed that is different. It is the Aero bed mentioned. The ISSUE with my Aero bed is the pump works from a fully charged battery and needs to be charged BEFORE using. A royal PITA. The good news; both beds are comfortable and EZ to inflate and deflate. The pumps on both are in the folded bed. The Aero bed pump was in a separate bag folded into the bed. Once used; I now stow the pump in a more readily available place so I can anticipate the need to charge it for several hours before needing it.

Next time you get to your RV, determine type of pump and go from there.
My Aero bed pump will NOT work directly from plugging it in. It has to be charged.

Not a big deal here, but, check it out and not be "surprised" at 11pm like I was with 7 people sleeping in our 5er.

We have used our air bed several times - works great. Unfold bed and plug into 120v outlet and press fill button on little controller attached to it. Fills and automatically shuts off when full. You can then adjust by letting some out or even added some during night using the controller. Deflates the same way. With our sofa unfolded it did not provide a lot of support at the head of the mattress - we stuffed the top sofa cushions between the wall and the sofa to provide a little better support. Very comfortable for an air bed that isn't 10-12" thick.

we stuff the back sofa cushions behind the bed as a headboard taking up the space between the wall and the bed frame, that way the head of the mattress is on the frame, the foot hangs out but that seems ok for us.
