Inverter install location.

Looking for ideas on inverter install locations for my 2020 Hideout 301DBS FW. Batteries are in the front compartment. The pass through storage directly behind the batteries seems like the most logical location but I am concerned about not getting good enough ventilation for it there, any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum

How large of an inverter are you thinking? The 12V cables need to be as short as practical and sufficient size for the inverter. I have installed lots of inverters in compartments, and haven’t had one come back yet.

I’m an electrician so wire size and voltage drop are in my wheel house. I’m more concerned about over heating of the inverter. It will probably be a 1500W PSW inverter from go power.

I have put 2000W from go power in a “confined” compartment, 12V run was about 10 feet if I remember, been good for a year. Customer is a camp host at high altitude and the generator for the camp is turned off each night at 10 until at least 6 AM. I powered 1/2 of the 50A service and moved a couple of circuits so they could pretty much do anything.
