Raptor 100 amp power converter

It appears the power converter has gone bad in our 2017 Raptor.
It came with a 100 amp deck mount.
We're full timers and connected to 50 amp shore power all the time.
While the 100 amp has advantages in charging the two marine batteries, it seems like overkill for our situation.
Are there any drawbacks/dangers/possible issues to going with a 55 amp power converter that I should know about with this Raptor?

Other than longer charge times, I think you will probably be fine. Do you have a powered sub woofer? if so that may be the reason for 100W.

Yeah, there is a sub somewhere behind the fireplace by the furnace, but I don't think it's ever worked.

You could disconnect the power to it to make sure its not drawing from the converter.

I got a chance to check the voltage coming out of the converter. It's reading 13.7.
What's wrong is the DC is all running off the batteries. It doesn't see the shore power connected.
Is there something else I need to check?

If the converter is producing 13.7VDC and you don’t see the same reading at the batteries, then you need to back trace from the positive lead at the battery. Do you have a battery cut off? Is it in the correct position? Do you have circuit breakers at the battery lead?

I don't know what a battery cut off is, so I'm not sure if we have one.
Inside the coach in the circuit panel there is a breaker for the converter. That hasn't ever tripped on us. By the batteries there are three fuses (7.5, 10, and 15 amp), none of them are broken.

What does the volt meter read at the battery when plugged into shore power?

Usually around 10-12.
I put in the new 55 amp converter, turned on shore power, and connected the two batteries.
13.6-ish (I have an old school voltmeter from Radio Shack with the needle) at the batteries.
I turned on the fridge and interior lights to see if the volts start going down.

You should be good. Tomorrow morning, disconnect from shore power. Wait an hour and use the volt meter on the batteries.

Should I expect the batteries to go down since shore power is disconnected, so no recharging from the 55 amp converter?
During this testing so far, with the shore power off, the batteries start draining quick. Then a switch in the fridge starts beeping, the 'L1-oP' error, which I assume triggers the high limit since maybe a fan shuts off to cool it when the batteries start getting low?

How quick is “quick”? You might want to remove the batteries and have them load tested.

In just about an hour they went down to 10v from 12-ish.
Then the fridge would stop working and the lights got all dim.

Circling back to this issue.
We put in a new WFCO 55 amp converter, model WF-9855, on Sunday afternoon. It's not as big and shiny, or as fancy, as the 100 amp WF59-68100A, but it seems to be just fine in our Raptor after four days now.
Voltage at the batteries and the in Command center shows 13.5 and 13.4 consistently.
Thank you chuckster57 for the suggestions and responses.
