BAL Accu-slide room

Doing some stuff in the new Cougar 27RESWE and DW noticed the slide room has a slope (measured about 1 1/2") from the TT opening on out. Called dealer and was told that is the way it is supposed to be. Can't find this suggested slope from any LCI info. Phone call to Lippert is not answering.
The old Cougar had the rack and pinion setup and it was dead level when extended.
Opinions please.

My Cougar HT 25RES has a slope on it's living room slide as well. Drives me crazy since the bedroom slide is perfectly level upon extension but the dealer said it's adjusted correctly.

I checked out two other 25RES models and they also had a slight downward slope (@ the same 1-1/2" drop) so I'm thinking that's how mine must be designed.

Your BAL slide is NORCO not LCI.

Joe, I've not gotten up to measure mine but it looks like a tiny, almost imperceptible, drop to the outside on my slides. Just giving a quick glance they appear to be square with the sides but if you study them it does look like a tiny drop. Thinking about it, I would assume there would be some sort of drop so you wouldn't have water trying to run up under the seals any time it rained; instead it would flow away from the seals hopefully eliminating the possibility of the water finding a way to slip through a gap in the seals and find its way inside.

Another thought is that I believe my slides, when retracting or extending, always have one end or the other start/end before the other indicating there is a slight difference in the way the slide is held by the cables. That is also indicated by 2 of the cables being very taught and 2 more loose in either position. So, I suspect it is normal. My bigger concern is that the difference wasn't so great that when the slide was retracted that the top did not seal tight against the upper seal.
