handle on I beam frame
Just picked up a laredo 325lr and looking it over in depth I notice their is a handle on the left side of the frame that seams to pull in and out. I don't want to pull until I can figure what will happen. Any info would be appreciated.

I would guess that it’s for dumping a holding tank. On my trailer, the handles are color coded for black and grey. If you haven’t used the tanks yet, you can run clean water through it to see which one it is. Good luck

I'm pretty sure it will be one of your holding tanks. Is the trailer new? Is it not labeled topside on the J panel?

If not your normal black/grey handle, chances are that it’s your water tank drain. Every trailer I’ve owned has had a dedicated fresh water tank handle yet surprisingly, not many people know this.

Actually our 2013 Cougar only has the 1/2" drain valve on the bottom of the fresh water tank. Maybe after this model year.

ON my Cougar the two handles in the storage bay are for the gray tank in the bathroom for the shower, sink and the and the black tank for the toilet. the handle outside just ahead of the wheel well is for the Kitchen sink gray tank. I think the Laredo is the same.

Yes I know where the grey water and black dump handles are at ,but this is below (on the frame) of the 5 wheel in the area of the dump handles but not the dump handles. I was on the ground look the bottom over when I found this.
Thank You for all the help.. I do appreciate it.

Is it the drain for the washer/dryer? Floor plan I'm looking at shows washer/dryer hookups, not sure if you have them or not but I assume the valve is there either way. Too bad the owner's manuals are so generic making them nearly useless.

"Every trailer I’ve owned has had a dedicated fresh water tank handle" The next one I see will be my first. I have not heard of a t-handle on the frame to drain the fresh water tank.
With 78 gallons listed as the grey water capacity, I'm betting it is the drain for the second grey water tank, probably the rear tank. Each tank is probably 38-39 gallons.

My new Sprinter Limited has a fresh water tank handle. It’s hidden behind the frame, but it indeed has one.

Just to be clear this handle is to drain your fresh water tank right?
Sure beats bending down to access the old style drain.

If there is a handle for the fresh water tank, 1) it sounds like it would be easier to access than crawling under to turn the valve as mine currently is and 2) I HOPE they make it drain faster!!!

My Everest has a handle in the back end on the frame and its for the Rear Kitchen Grey tank. Could be that if you have kitchen in rear.
Fresh water drain T-handle. That would be nice. I have a cap I have to unscrew and its located next to the axle about 2 feet in between the 2 left tires. Its a pain to crawl under neath to drain. Plus on revive I have to open and close it 2 or 3 times while I rinse the pink crap out.

My Laredo has a grey tank handle and a black tank handle mounted in the frame next to each other just behind the back tire and another grey tank handle towards the front so 2 grey and 1 black

How come no one advised fill all tanks and pull the handle? Should do it anyway with clean water and get the left over building materials out of the tanks. Let the water go into the yard or down a drain.

I have a Laredo also...288RL. The galley grey tank handle also comes out the side of the frame just behind the skirting for the slideout. This handle is in addition to the two handles that come through the corroplast underneath the TT for the black tank and bathroom grey tank. Don't know why the pic loaded 90* right.

There are two dump handles in the water control center, one for black water and one for grey shower and wash basin water. (they may be mislabeled) The handle under the skirt just to the right is for the kitchen sink grey water. To dump the rear, and only, fresh water tank there is a line (1/2 inch) dangling down in the rear drivers side by the tank vent, you must crawl under and open the valve. I've pretty much torn our 325RL apart so just ask.

What year/model is your trailer. Have looked at several here at a Keystone dealer and not one had a lever/handle that drained the fresh water tank. All had the old style drain 1/2" plastic pipe with a screw on cap underneath at the middle of the tank

If the t-handle drain for the fresh water tank is true (and I am assuming you are correct at this point) it would be an improvement over the 1/2 inch tube hanging down under the coroplast, just waiting for you to crawl through the mud to get to it.
