Sway bars with newer front cap

I was wondering if anyone had to move their propane tank to use their sway bars. We were going to borrow a friends reese hitch system but the lockdowns needed to go right where the propane tanks are. We are now considering the equalizer package. We have a 2012 cougar 28RBS x-lite. My question is to those who use the equalizer hitch, did you have to move the propane tanks? Thanks in advance!

I too have a 28RBS, and do not need to remove my propane bottles. Yes, you will need to remove the front cover to hook it up initially and then reinstall, but you do not need to remove the bottles.

When I purchased my Cougar HC 319RLS, I saw that the integrated propane cover would need to be modified for a Reese or other chain style equalizer hitches.

I decided to get the Equal-I-Zer hitch and I don't have to move, remove, or mess with the propane cover or bottles for hook up. Once installed, its all good.

I have a 2013 28RBS and the 10K Equal-i-zer. The L-brackets don't interfere with the LP tank mounts at all, and are at least a few inches in front.

I don't need to move/remove the cover to connect the bars either. Usually I can hand lift them into place if I use the jack to raise the truck/trailer up some, but even when I need to use the tool to lift them into place, I have just enough room for the bars to drop off the tool and onto the L-brackets before my hand or the tool touches the cover.

I haven't used any other WDH than the one I have, so I can't comment on the effectiveness between brands/styles, but I've had no complains with the way our Equal-i-zer does its job.
