Thermostat

I have a 2013 3535RE Alpine it has the Whisper air with heat pump and 2nd A/C. The Dometic t-stat seems confusing to operate. my question is if in heat pump mode will it automatically switch to furnace if its to cold or do i have to change it at t-stat. We have not camped with this unit yet so i am still trying to figure everything out .

I have the same unit and if it's cold set it on HP and it will run whatever will keep you warm. it switches to furnace at about 26-28.It makes noise when it defrost and does that alot when it's cold and damp.

Auto is for normal Michigan weather 40 at night and 80 during the day set it to 70 and it will keep it there
