Arrrg! there's a tree limb sticking out of my trailer roof. About 2 inches in diameter, right thru into the cabinet above the sink. Also a hole in the cover on the roof above the refer. I patched up as best I could in pouring down rain and insane wind with gorilla tape, it's got to better than nothing.

Oh well, I know this is what insurance is for. Hope everyone is fairing better than I am. Keep safe .

PS We are not In the trailer, it's parked in the yard.

Thanks azlee, living in the woods is awesome, but when the wind really starts to blow the 80 foot trees around the house cause a lot of worry. We've already lost the top on one massive oak and several smaller trees are blown over. The family is safe (the only thing that matters), the house and trailer are insured, and the lights are still on.

lorax614, I'm glad to hear that no one was injured. We were lucky also, but the rest of the town looks like a bomb hit it. They say we will be out of power for 7 to 10 days so I have to conserve fuel for the genny. I hope all our members were as lucky (blessed) as we are with no injuries. Stay safe, Hank

Here in Michigan it is just kicking in power out here and there and freezing rain and snow. All the power crews are on the east coast.

Power crews can not work here the winds are still too high for them to work safely. 2 1/2 million homes in New Jersey with no power. Not pretty at all. Much of the Jersey shore is flooded until storm surge subsides tomorrow.

So far the upstate PDF SC has sent Power crews, ambulance companies and manpower.
Waiting on a decision about our Swiftwater Rescue Team. If it goes, I'll be there. Probably towing our 5er Fuzion, as it is fully self contained.
Best of luck and Godspeed to y'all!

Greensboro, NC FD's swift water rescue unit left yesterday for Jersy Shore area.
My SonInLaw is BFD and he was on duty yesterday but he had heard nothing about his FD going anywhere.
We were at Myrtle Beach over the weekend.. Lots of rain and wind...Wind and more Wind.. Did not sleep well Saturday night. Left the camper at the campground storage yard. So I did not have to fight it coming home. Talked to friends who drove home and they both said it was all they could do to get home in the wind.
Ya'll up north stay safe and God Bless.

That is terrible, his poor family, I most certainly will pray for comfort and guidance through this time.

10 days is a long time, hope you have enough fuel just in case.

Well the storm is over, and now the clean up begins.
The family , house, and trailer weathered the storm without further damage.
The property ,not so much. total of 21 trees down on our place, plus a dozen more within a stones throw, including the one that fell across the driveway just 10 feet from the trailer, and the one that closed the drive at the road , taking the power pole with it. Thursday 9 o'clock pm and the road is still blocked. Driveway too. Thanxs to a neighbor , I can cross their yard and use their drive to get out. Power lines down but fiber optic line still intact, so with the generator running we still have internet and phone. For now. All in all we fared fine, compared to others that have lost so much. We've been told to not expect power till early next week, if.

Thanks to all that have kept those in need in their thought and prayers.
And to those that are working to return things to as normal as they can be.

Sandy

After removing my TT out of storage last March found a hole in the roof in front of the AC it did not go through the roof only part way (about 1in) and about 2 in dia. called insurance co. (Progressive) the adjuster came out and checked it told me that the whole rubber roof had to be replaced he then wrote a check for $5,500.00 to cover the repair under my Compressive less my deductible. I walked away a happy man.So it should be covered.
