Question Dometic Duo Therm A/C BTU?

Our 2011 Springdale 281 Bunkhouse came with a Dometic A/C. It did not come with an instruction manual for the A/C or thermostat. We want to purchase an Inverter generator and need to know the a/c output. Any suggestions?

Try the Dometic website (www.dometic.com). Look for the model number of your A/C and thermostat. Once found, there should be a downloadable manual available online for both items. If not, check out these Dometic phone numbers:

in Canada 519-720-9578

To operate your A/C via a generator, you are probably looking at 3000w or better. A few folks have had success running an A/C with a 2000w, but you would be far better off with something in the neighbourhood of 3000-3500w.

Thanks Festus2, I found the model and BTU rating 13,500. Looks like I'll need a 3500 watt generator.
