Welcome to the forum

I have installed numerous washers and dryers over the years and without a doubt DO NOT get a combo. Get seperate units, and the brand of choice is splendide. Not cheap but I haven’t had any failures yet.

We installed the Slendide units in this trailer and DW raves about them. They aren't cheap so I remind her often and ask "were they worth it"? Every single time she beams at me and says "most definitely".

What about a vented combo?

I don’t like any “combo” unit. I have installed vented combo splendide for customers that don’t have enough space. I find the amount of clothing that can be done isn’t worth the cost, and they take forever.

Good to know. I was getting close to doing a vented combo to save space. I wanted a shelf in the closet above the washer to not loose that much storage.

As we moved closer to getting a 5th wheel a sales guy here in FL was showing us Keystone vs GD. As we looked at units the subject of a washer/dryer, combo vs separate units came up. He lived in a GD unit at the back of the dealership. He used a combo. He told us if we used a combo get ready for very long wash/dry times, very small loads and to be ready to take items out of the dryer and "lay them out" to complete drying. That's what he did on a weekly basis.....not for us.
