I've only had my Cougar a little over a month but I've run the slides in and out many times and mine doesn't hesitate or do anything other than move in and out. I don't know if that helps but it sounds like yours is at least different.

The slide should retract and extend without any "jumps" along the way. There may be some restriction or obstruction causing it to behave that way or it may require some adjusting. The slide also requires a fully-charged battery to operate properly so you might want to check that but since it extends without problems the battery is probably not the culprit. Is your unit reasonably level when you are bringing the slide in?
If you have a Lippert manual for your slide, there are some places shown where you can make adjustments but if you do change something in one place, it may effect something else. Be sure any changes you make will not create a new problem.

It is not exactly level it is sitting on a gravel pad lot slopes a little to the left the side that the slide is on.

lube the seals and cables with dry lube recommended by manufacturer...if this doesn't help, get your slide out re-aligned.

My small slide seems to stick at the top when i bring it back in, I just put alittle presure on it then move it back out, I maybe do that 2 or 3 times and it returns in fine i also did lube and cleaned and put the seal stuff on and that helped alot. And mine does it when im leval lol i guess its nice to know the seal is tight on that side.
