Rubber Roof cleaner

Have a 2018 Raptor TH with a rubber roof....was at Loretta Lynn's Ranch for a month under Maple trees, roof is stained and a mess. What is the best product to use?

Thank you,

Frank

I don't believe that your Raptor is equipped with a "rubber roof". The Keystone website indicates that it's a "TPO roof".

•Radius Roof w/ One-Piece TPO Walk-on Roof and a 12 Year Warranty

You can download the DICOR roof care booklet here: https://dicorproducts.com/rudys-down...care-handbook/

While DICOR is "brand specific" and your TPO membrane is probably not manufactured by DICOR, there is a lot of good information in the brochure that applies to all TPO roofing material.

Hi, Thanks but isn't a TPO roof a form of a rubber roof?

No, TPO is Thermoplastic Polyolefin. It's about as much a "rubber roof" as Lexan is glass, they share some characteristics but are two entirely different products.

Some "rubber roof products" are compatible with TPO roofing and some will do more harm than good. Some recent discussion on the forum has indicated that even the DICOR Self Leveling sealant that's used on EPDM (rubber roofing) is harmful to TPO roofing.

Treat your TPO roof like an EPDM roof and you may well destroy it in the process. YMMV.

Frank-
I also had a TPO roof. You may find the maintenance instructions for the Alpha Systems TPO roof here:

If recall my Alpha roof recommended using Spic n Span to clean it. Personaly I use Simple Green concentrate mixed a bit strong in a gallon sprayer, saturate the roof, wait 15-20 minutes, then scrub with a medium bristle brush & Dawn soap or good quality car wash soap, & rinse. So far has worked very well.
I use the same method to clean the awnings only once saturated I roll them up for the few minutes.
