GOOD MORNING ALL!
What has been everyone's experiences with in frig fans? Do they work and if they do which one(s) works the best?

I bought one that runs on 2 D cell batteries back in 2009. It is the best money I ever spent under $25.00. I place it in the tray under the cooling fins blowing up. I don’t think brand matters and there are kits out there for a permanent mount, 12V fan.

My refrigerator tends to get colder in some spots than in others and can lead to frozen vegetables, etc. The battery operated fan (self contained unit) does an excellent job of making the temperature more consistent throughout the refrigerator section.

One thought about the 12 volt "permanent mount" units: If dry camping is the norm, remember that this type installation will add more drain on the trailer batteries, so keep that in mind as you consider your options. While the "self contained fans" might seem somewhat less effective, they do an excellent job inside the refrigerator and don't put another parasitic drain on the trailer battery.

Same battery powered fan in use for the past 10 years & works great. Two D cell batteries last quite a while, probably spent enough on batteries to buy the hardwired version, but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

There are as many opinions on which one is best, which is most effective, which will last longer before battery changes, which is cheapest, which is the best value... Opinions run, along the same lines as which truck is best, so be prepared for an onslaught of "buy this one"....

I bought one off of amazon $18 I think it was and it hooks to the fins in the interior of the fridge. it is power by the 12V that powers the door lite. Worked great for me. I have to buy another as it went with the rig I traded in last year.
