I would have to say that the best advice ever given to me was just a couple years ago when we bought our first fiver. "Never mind how much experience you have, just take your time. Everyone watching you has been there before."
Our mechanic/technician at the CW in Ocala said to actually get out of your TV and look for yourself where you're headed, more than one time.

He went off the road with the front wheels. So much for "the scoop".

I pulled into our campsite last Friday at 9:30 pm and disappointed everyone by doing quickly and smoothly. I did appreciate all the support. Take your time and think about each movement.

Yes that process works, but that was a terrible video. I was impressed that the toy airstream had a working awning though.

I just do not back up much without a spotter. When backing without I stop alot to go back and look again. There is to much stuff to run into when camping in the forests. When using a spotter get the type of common language your both going to use and have the spotter in a place where the driver can see. Practice, practice, practice.

Guess I didn't get his second attempt. He was going to show how to do it when he had to stay on the road because there are a lot of RV's and stuff around. Then he unhooked and drove on to the lawn in front of him! He took as much lawn as the first time. All he had to do was go back and forth in small increments and he could have straightened it out and stayed on the road or at least used a lot less lawn that that!

Looking at the list of other videos, I liked the British one. I knew the drove on the other side of the road, never knew they put the door/awning of the RV on the other side as well.

I carry a 30ft piece of yellow rope, and after checking the site and deciding where I want the trailer, I lay the rope down on the ground where the drivers side of trailer should be, then back up while watching rope in my mirror, works well when I'm by myself.

That yellow rope idea sounds like a good idea when without a spotter. It might look funny to someone watching but, if you back in without stopping and adjusting they may not think it is so funny but, smart.

Watching someone back into their space is also a spectator sport.

Both good advice, I don't use a spotter per-say, DW when we pull up to the site we both get out. I look over the site and lines, she gets the dogs out and watches for kids, She will also warn if I am going to Hit something.

Other than that it is all mine, zero finger pointing, yes on a tight spot Iget out and look several times.

Boat launches are more fun to watch.
