Dometic HP Air Conditioner

Can I run my Dometic HP Air Conditioner from a 30 amp plug/cord to 120 plug adapter to my house?

I have but I plugged directly into the outlet without using an extension cord and I made sure the outlet was on a 20A breaker (it was for an outside pump). I also made sure any electrical items inside the RV were off or in the propane position. I even turned off the converter so it would not try to charge the battery while the air was running. I did this for quite a while with no issues what so ever. Others may have different experiences but mine were positive.

My trailer is plugged into a 10ga extension cord and then into a dedicated 20amp circuit. I do the same thing, nothing else on.

You will be fine.

If on, switch your fridge GAS to save 3-5 amps....

Don't try and use any "high draw" 120V items - HWH, microwave, coffee pot, etc.

Correct, if you are using an extension cord get a 10ga or bigger. It might be time to think about a 30-50amp somewhere close to your rig. As you've already read, nothing else on but the air. If I want the refridge to also run, I will use a separate extension cord and find the panel outside of fridge, take it off and you'll see where the fridge plugs into the rig. I simply unplug the fridge and plug into the other extension cord therefore saving propane. Just another creative way to play. Enjoy today what tomorrow will take away!
