Black / gray backwards?

We took our new 21RBS East out for the first time this past weekend and when dumping the Black drain we had a large amount of fairly clear material. Then dumped the gray and had significantly less liquid and it was a dark color.

My son believes the drain labels may be backwards.

As I face the back left corner of the camper the Black is to the left and the gray is to the right.

Considering adding dye to water to perform a test.

Any thoughts?

Comment: The camper exceeded my expectations and we had a wonderful time...

Appreciate your freedom because someone gave their life for it.

How about just running a hose down the toilet (if you don't have the backflush system) and testing to see which valve is which?

Could do it on the gray side as well I suppose - just leave the sink running.

Labels have been known to be backwards, should be easy to figure out putting water in one tank or the other and seeing which one drains.

As others said, common issue, labels were switched. Not sure if it is not paying attention or a joke from the factory... Easy fix.

If you can see the actual pipes feeding the outlet it is easy to determine. The Black tank has a 3" pipe leading from it and the gray water has a 1.+" pipe

Black gray

Thanks for the input fellow campers.
I will find time to play with the situation this weekend and will use some of the suggestions.
Regards,
Paul

I hate it when they do that! If the tanks are backwards, just modify your usage to accommodate. It's not too bad washing dishes in the toilet, the hard part is getting the solid waste to go down the drain in the kitchen sink or the shower.

I'm sure you will just find they are mislabeled.

At least yours were labeled, even if incorrectly; mine we're not. They are now! Such a noob am I. Didn't catch this during what I thought was a rather thorough PDI, looked right at them, followed the checklist, brand new trailer. First noticed it at the end of our 1st trip out! Good now!

We just picked up our Raptor 412TS and not only are the valves mis-labeled, the gray tank indicator says full when it is completely empty.

Not much use taking it to dealer, cuz I know you can't trust the tank indicator lights.
