Valencia Travel Village

Anyone ever been to the Valencia Travel Village, an RV campground at 27946 Henry Mayo Drive (Hwy 126), Castaic, CA 91384?

My daughter lives in Van Nuys, CA and I'm planning to take a trip out there this next travel season. Without my RV, I visited a place right in Van Nuys that was horribly small and seemed dirty, so that place is OUT of the running.

I have a Cougar 318SAB. It is a 34' 7" fifth wheel.

Any RV campground recommendations reasonably close to Van Nuy? The Valencia mentioned above is about 31 miles from my daughter's house.

I looked at Woodall's guide and this seemed the closest decent campground.

Any input would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,
Phil

YES, I'm already thinking about next travel season....... can't wait!!

I drive by there all the time and it looks ok from the outside. The reviews at campgroundreviews.com are mixed.

Dockweiler Beach is a personal favorite of mine and it's about the same distance from Van Nuys, but via the dreaded 405. Some don't like Dockweiler due to it being at the end of the LAX runways and its proximity to a sewage treatment plant, but neither of those have been an issue for us.
