Rephrased Thread: Dream tow vehicle? Survey or Vote or something

Pre-apology 2 Mods for new sim thread! I am rephrasing thread just to get a quick reply of your first pick specification of a new or older TV for big 5TH WHEEL 12-14,000 that you would get or wished you had in all your wisdom and trying to avoid debates not that I mind the debates thats where I learn the most just want quick vote on spec you would choose. I am thinking avoid some of new stuff coming out with the DEF Diesel Exhaust Fluid TV because I am not sure right now about that crap and how that will effect me in the future, service costs $ etc something tells me to avoid that and buy before that i know of companies buying for fleets to avoid those. When I say dream TV not money is no object just solid rv wisdom trade offs and all.

Yes, I am picking the S%^$ out of your brains I want to be right up front about this as I am man enough to admit that I am not as knowledgable yet and I will pay it forward like you guys do someday and for sure you have all been pretty dam spot on and I could have avoided mistakes on advice here but the more I research the right TV the the harder it is getting. This is a big decision for my family really and I don't want to screw it up or my wife will "white knuckle my face" I am hoping for a majority spec and I know personal preference plays a part but irregardless, I know this may be tough but will be interesting none the less to see responses. Tx Guys

I will give a big range, 98.5 to 2007.5 Dodge Cummins Diesel 3500 DRW. If you don't like rowing gears get an auto, beat the price down and have the auto rebuilt to upgraded power standards. If you don't mind rowing gears get either the NV4500 or NV5600, and enjoy. If you want newer then you can include all from 2007.5 to 2012, as Cummins has not started using the DEF yet.
They did start adding emission stuff after 2007.5 though.

Perhaps I am missing something here but it seems that you're asking pretty much the same question here as you did in your previous thread " All Round Best Tow Vehicle Option Is .....????
Did the replies that you recently received in that thread not provide you with the kind of recommendations you were looking for?

LOL, I tried to pre apologize I thought you would say this. Whats different thread wise is I am trying to get an overall consensus if people are willing of what they would choose today just a quick 2 second reply for example:

My first choice:

2012 Dodge Laramie 3500
Long Bed
4.10
6.0
Tow Package
with?
and?

Want to see if an overall majority leans to a certain unit or brand. The other thread was more like why and a description/opinion and details and that was great and it gave me great information and I just added to that with the spec to that Ford F250. If this is too annoying you can cut the thread I understand.

It's not so much as "annoying" as it is having members respond in two different threads to what is essentially the same question. While there may be a very slight variation of the question, you are basically asking the same thing. I think you'll end up with answers spread over two threads.

Dream T.V.

Personally if I had the $ I would go to a 3500 Dodge with the older Cummins, I presently have a 2500 with a 5.9 Cummins, chip, cold air box and air bag assist. On flat or rolling highway I get 22 (UK)18 (US) Miles per gallon towing a 2011 281 Springdale. I have had a little trouble getting the loading right as this is my first TT so I figure the 3500 might be better. I do love the Cummins and my 6 speed. I pull most hills in 6 th gear except for the mountains. Rear diff is a 3.73/1 Ours is also a quad cab short box with all creature comforts. Hope this helps.
