Many companies plumb the bathroom sink to the black tank to add extra liquid to avoid solids packing up. I think our Cougar is set up that way. We avoid using the bathroom sink when possible unless we have full hookups and it seems to make a difference. Still too new to know for certain. Our last TT was definately set up that way.

We flush our black water tank every time we dump it. For us, that's every time we move from some place to another place.

We consider our gray water tank as self cleaning as we have a washer/dryer and use it almost daily when traveling.

Thanks for all the replys. I'm interested to play and find out where the tub and bathroom sinks are plumbed to. The black tank was more full than the gray, so the sink in the bathroom and tub may be plumbed to it. I would rather the not be but it could be either or because I'm pretty certain the tanks sit right next to each other.

This is a need to know item though I would think.

Going back to the original question I will dump at 1/2 BWT , and I will not store with black tank being full or halfway full. I always dump a little bit of the grey water first to luv up the sewage hose and then dump the black water tank and after that I finished by dumping the grey water tank... and after is empty I always add one of those little bags to control the odor even though it is an empty black tank!!!

The most important thing is a pair of black or water proof gloves.
