Table tie down

Found a simple place to strap table down when towing. Since I added the bunk rail it's hard to get out from under the top bunk mattress. May help some that may not want to them up there as well.

That is a great idea. We keep both tables in the RV and will be setting this system up ASAP.

Awesome

That's an AWESOME idea!!! Been trying to figure a way to mount things to the wall when traveling. I've been leaving everything on the floor and tripping over them.

I have a waste basket I leave in the kitchen corner, it has yet to fall over or move. It's not attached to anything and won't fit under the sink.

Love this idea, and we set this up ourselves. I wasn't sure if all the tables were the same width or the posts for the happijac system, but ours fits perfect (and inexpensive). We put a piece of noodle on the top side also. Not sure if it will stay or not. Just an extra precaution.

We have come up with a very similar way of fastening our table to the wall using little D-rings and a strap.
I also used two pair of D-rings to attach our two ladders to the wall with a cam strap. Works great and helps keep the floor clear of obstacles.

That's awesome, I was wanting to do something like that. How did you attach the D-rings to the sidewalls? That was my main issue.

Table tie down

I haven't done anything with my outside ladder. I leave it on. But I strap the bunk ladder to the roll up carpet and lay it down in the back. I will say I have put thought into where to place it up and out the way. Have a couple ideas, one being strapped to the wall like carbonfun's.

Canesfan, I used 1.5 inch course drywall screws with a small pilot hole and wood glue on the screw to ensure it does not turn ou. I also found that it does not take much pressure on the d rings to hold the leaders to the wall. I placed pipe insulation over a couple rungs of the ladder so the wall is not scratched up at all. At this point, we have traveled over five hundred miles and they have not moved.

CarbonFun, thanks! I've been afraid of screwing into the sidewalls since it's mostly luan and foam, unless you hit an aluminum stud, and the techs at the RV place advised against using hollow wall anchors saying they'd likely pull out and leave a large hole. I like the glue on the screw idea as extra security. I'll have to give this a try. I now have things bungeed to both sides and need a place for the ladder and a few other misc things.

Did the table mod/mount, super easy. Pipe insulation and a nice bungee, works great. I just cant figure out where to put the ladders. My loft frame/box comes out quite a bit into garage, so know where really to mount ladders standing up. It will take me a few beers to figure it out.

We have had our 327 for a month and I've been implementing our upgrades also. I like the ladder storage and table. I'll get some pics later. Love our 327.

Thanks for the info on how to stow the table and screwing the d-rings to the wall. We got several straps with our rig, but no info on what or how to use them.

As for the ladders, we stow them along with the Raptor lounger chairs on the happi-jac top bunk while traveling, but had a few fallouts when we got to our site. We bought a spider net at Home Depot and use it to secure the ladders and loungers on the top bunk.

This is where we keep both our tables and a step stool in our 315. It's right under the TV in the garage. You would think these things should come stock with these mods since they come with the tables! Carefull stowing things on or under the top bunk not to block the air intake on the AC.

It's sort of like the toilet paper holder and towel racks. If the factory put them in a standard place, some people would like it, some wouldn't care and some would complain about where the factory "thoughtlessly" stuck stuff.....

In the case of D-rings to hold a table, it may work for you, but what about the owner whose 4 wheeler is a tad too long to fit in the garage with the table tied down there? He would complain about the "darned" table being in the way, what was Keystone thinking when they put those D-rings next to the door in the garage????

They (Keystone) just can't keep everyone happy, so they just 'save the money, call it profit" and let the owner figure out what works best for them. I'm sure, just as with TP holders, some people simply prefer not to even install one. Probably the same with D-rings ????
