Jeep Wrangler

Good afternoon. I am in the process of purchasing a 2004 Keystone Outback 21RS. Could anyone please let me know if my 2009 Jeep Wrangler JK 2dr 6cyl will handle towing this RV, as well as, the tongue weight? I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks so much!

from the limited info I have on your jeep it looks like the max towing cap is only around 3 to 4 thousand pounds.
The TT you are looking at has a dry weight of 3390lb and a max gvwr of 5500lb. I do not think you would enjoy the drive at all.

By the way to the group.

I found the TT weights by looking at one that is listed on E-bay so they may not be exact.

Your question is difficult to answer based on the limited information you have given. If you look at the sticker on the inside door panel, there are some figures (weights, etc.) that are needed to make an informed response.
There is also a corresponding sticker on the RV with various weights, etc. Knowing those would also help.
If you can't find out this information, go to the Keystone website, follow the links and find the specs for that particular RV/ You'll have to find the section for previous years.
As a guess, I would think that the short wheelbase alone of the Wrangler would not make this a good combination due to the sway that would result.

As an owner of numerous wranglers I would not recommend this in any way, shape or form. In my opinion, the short wheelbase and limited towing capacity is a bad bad combo for towing anything more that a small tent trailer. I wouldn't consider it for a second.

I have to agree with the previous posts! Years ago, a friend of ours was coming back from the coast over HWY 41. Pulling a 22ft TT with a CJ. Trailer started swaying in a cross wind on Cottonwood Pass. She lost control and went into a ravine (about 200'). They both lived - she spent a couple months in the hosp. DON'T DO IT! JMHO
