some thoughts on our new trailer

hello,
well we purchased a 2013 keystone sprinter 300 KBS to start our full-timing, and after some weeks here are some things if keystone co is reading:

some nice things we wish our trailer had or came with : )
- porch light over the 2nd door by bedroom
- a light on the slide-out side (by sewage connection?), if you walk on that
that side at night time, and its dark, a light would have been nice : ) p.s.
add another scare light that side? : )
- the control panel lights, would be good if it went green when you turned on
something, like porch light etc., so red for off and green when its on
- storage under the kitchen sink. as you go along the baseline, its all open
space until you hit near the sink then a board is 1/2 way across. the open
gap is big enough for stuff to roll back there and then its hard to get out.
a sliding board would have been nice to block anything rolling/sliding across.
- 110v plug by night stand by bed
- 110v by dinette table. when we sit there and use our laptops, we run a
ext cord coming from kitchen counter. a 110v outlet near dinette table
would be nice to keep cables close by and not over floor.
- outside storage handle, to access storage compartment (under bed) in
trailer. remove that handle and keep the key lock and make so you just
need unlock with key and open.
- 30/50 amp plug. so close to spare tire, have to really bend the cable to
get it plugged in. its ok i guess, but maybe off to the side? or move spare
tire holder out a bit?

hmmmm ok seems good : ) and on the other side...

the kitchen storage is great!! have moved just about everything from house to trailer! nice.. the tile floor is also great, the sofa is very soft and comfortable when watching the 32' tv : )

lots and tons of storage in the bedroom! it holds all of my books that i put in haha : ) great floorplan and the a/c upgrade (15K) is awesome, so cold have to turn off at times, haven't used heater/furnace yet but soon, just starting to get cold. the bathroom is nice and roomy, wife loves it.

its upgraded to 50amps so we have not had problem yet with our electric plugins with running tv,. 2 laptops, and lights and a/c so we're good so far
.. anyway was just some thoughts for maybe next time build : )

That seems to be a very livable floor plan. As for anyone from Keystone reading your post .... I doubt it. Most trailers have a 110 outlet mounted on one of the benches of the dinette. I am surprised that your's doesn't. Spare tire mount is usually just bolted to the bumper and very easy to move over a little for better access to power cord.

Other than that I am glad (and envious) that you are enjoying fulltiming and hope you can iron out the little shortfalls you have in your Sprinter. Travel safely, Hank

Our kitchen has the stand alone chairs w/table, just the nearest ac outlet is on the kitchen counter, so we run the ext. cord to there.

the power cord is doable .. that's what we do now, and yes the floorplan is nice, gives us nice room, and our puppy all grown up now has more access than we gave her in the house
.. just a thought in case keystone was reading and might want to add on their next one
: )

Keystone sent us a customer survey where they ask a lot of questions about your purchase but then give you space to list any changes/improvements you want to suggest. It's a paper survey but you have the option of filling it in on line at www.keystonerv.com/customersurvey

Not sure if this is just specific for the 2013 Hideout line or whether it's general for all models but you might try filling it in.
