Floor Repair Suggestions

I discovered a couple small dents / tears in the flooring of our '15 Bullet after returning from our last camping trip. Not 100% sure how they got there, but I suspect these were made while our dog was gnawing on a bone. Looking for suggestions on a repair. I'm mostly concerned about moisture getting in there next time out, by way of wet feet or maybe a wet dog. My first thought is a dab of almond colored latex caulk ? Thankfully, they are small.

Home Depot or Lowes has a vinyl flooring repair kit for $15 -20. It is made for seam sealing but will work on the cuts or nicks. Search for vinyl repair kits or vinyl seam sealer. Good Luck!

Use a clothing iron and a towel, warm the vinyl (through the towel) until it's pliable, lay it down, in place, put a heavy book on the ripped area, then put something heavier (like a concrete block) on top of the book. Let it sit for several hours or better yet, overnight, then use the seam sealer in the above post to "secure the edges of the cut.

Alternatively, find a vinyl floor installation/service center and talk to them about a "professional repair"... Don't be surprised if they arrive with an iron, a towel, a book and a concrete block in one hand and a vinyl repair kit in the other.....

Thanks for the advice. I took a look on the home improvement store's sites, as well as amazon. Not sure I'm finding the right stuff. Does it comes with colors (dyes) to allow you to match the existing floor? It seems like what comes up in my search is more of a furniture repair kit. Perhaps I need to go into the local store and ask an associate.

We use clear. I don’t have an iron so I use a heat gun on LOW and a flooring roller. The above techniques will work fine.

Try using this product. It's what I've used for years. https://www.lowes.com/pd/domco-Acces...fl-oz/50166417

With the "new trend to hire floor installers" not all Lowe's have it in stock but any of them can order it for you (or have a comparable product on the shelf).

Johns suggestion of the repair kit is exactly what we use for vinyl repairs.
