We just returned to Vegas from picking up our new (used) Cougar 277RL 5th wheel in Grants Pass Or. Stayed two tired nights in RV parks with lots of freeway noise. The last night we stayed at Bakersfield RV Resort. Wow! Lovely facility, pull-thru level space, heated pool and tub (in Jan), real fitness center with free weights, and a good restaurant/pub on-site. And reasonably priced.

That was our first night on our cross country trip in '09. Temp was 100+ and we wanted to cross Tehachapi pass in the early AM. We were very impressed and had dinner in the pub, good eats.

Thanks for the kind words about one of our RV parks. It nice to hear when Bakersfield has been the butt of sooo many jokes and bad press. It is a good place to live..100 miles from LA, 100 miles from the coast and 50 miles from the high Sierras.
