Picking up my Passport 219BH. Where do you guys store your sewer hose?

I noticed the Passport doesn't have a bumper. The dealership says to store the sewer hose in the passthrough storage but I'm worried about it smelling up the inside of the camper. I found this on Amazon and it looks cool. Where do you 219BH owners store your hose and in what?

I store mine in my pass through in a heavy duty trash bag. I have a couple hoses in the event an extra is needed to reach the sewer cut out.

My Passport came with a tube mounted along the frame and accessed through a hatch in the rear frame crossmember. So I could carry another hose, I mounted a second tube on that same rear crossmember.

The first picture shows where the access hatch is located for the factory installed tube. The second picture shows where I installed my own. Between the two tubes I have enough sewer hose for any situation I have come across with hose to spare.

The tubes mounted underneath are nice, but you can get "sealed" totes pretty much any big box home improvement place that would curtail any smell or water leakage. Just be sure to keep the caps on each end of the hose as they do help, mine never leaks out.

I have a 219BH. I mounted a piece of a vinyl 5x5 fence post under the battery to keep my RhinoFlex sewage hose stored in. I put caps on both ends of the post and use a short neoprene bungy cord to keep the caps on. Not elegant, but gets the job done without being too much of an eyesore.

The factory storage tube is too short to keep much of a hose in. The factory storage tube was mounted on the driver's side frame member, accessed from the front of the trailer.

Several ways to store the hose and paraphernalia. If you don't have the bumper storage is there a tube mounted somewhere "under there" meant for it? Our trailer came with one and as soon as I saw it I told DW..."you crawling under there to use that"? That tube was not an option.

We use flat totes from Walmart with rollers, maybe 25-28" wide and 3'? long for storing not only the sewer slinky hoses (in trash bags) but the other adapters, tools etc. Works like a champ. It does take some room but you could also use a smaller container. On the travel trailers the adaptation of the fence post? lengths with the rain gutter sliders looks like that might be a good option.

I cut the post down to not much longer than a single compressed hose. The shorter post was easier to mount to the underside of the battery tray. My trailer is short enough I've always been able to get by with a single length. A second unused hose is in my pass thru inside the cut word length of post for a desperate situation.

While I have a bumper, there are 2 brackets in the middle that prevent me from getting each section of Rhino hose in from each side.

Another member of the forum suggest the item below from Amazon.

I had to mount the carrier to the frame, thus the gap between the carrier and the body. But it does the job!

Best of luck on your new trailer.

Thanks, I had read about a factory installed one. I asked the dealer if there was a place to store it and he didn't seem to know about it. I hope its there and he is just not aware. If not I think I'll try something like your second photo. Seems like a good option!

In the bed of my pick-up truck. Once at the campsite, this box goes under the trailer on the ground. Been doing it this way for 3 travel trailers and 1 fifth wheel now (over 20 years).

I store two in the bumper and I added tube storage to the frame close to the main black/grey water outflow. My rig has two grey tanks (one dedicated to the kitchen, near the rear of the trailer, the other dedicated to the bathroom).

We have essentially the same set up as this! We call it the ‘Caca bin’ and it goes right under the trailer when we get to the site.

If you squint, you can see mine under the front of the camper. It looks like it's under the front pass-thru due to the camera angle. It's actually just under the battery and a foot or so wider than the frame at the battery tray. Easy to get at when you're at the dump station. I've got a large plastic Folger's coffee canister that I keep the sewer adapter fitting in. The canister seals fairly tight and I can fill it with water and bleach to give it all a good disinfection after we get back to the house prior to locking it all up in the shop.

I have the same trailer (2021). I didn’t like the extra handling and keeping it in the pass through up front. I purchased the adjustable Sewer Hose and mounted it just behind the waste water discharge. I found some fencing brackets at the hardware store that made it easier to mount.

Sewer hose

If you are handy you can use a vinyl fence post cover and mount underneath the RV. Works great. It sits just next to the dump outlet, so I don't have to open the cubby and get all those disgusting hoses out.

I have two. One in the standard tube NH_Bulldog showed and a second inside a standard tote in the pass-thu storage. I haven't had the camper long, but so far no problem with my storage. Draining grey water last has prevented any lingering particulates in the tubes.

I do the same as @#10 but keep in the pass-thru storage...keeps all the fittings and two lengths of pipe together. If I pack it right, I can also fit in the folding ladder hose support. The bumper actually wasn't big enough for the fittings and a pain anyway. For sure drain the grey water last and give it a good rinse with the hose...no odor issues. It doesn't take up much room and easier to access. I have another one for all the water/gas hoses + accessories, and for all extension cords and surge protector...convenient and organized makes for a happy camper

Mine is in a tube I mounted to the rear bumper. The factory supplied tube was too short to hold my hose. I keep the fittings and a pair of long rubber gloves in a tote box in the pass thru.
