Sure does...right back into the FW tank!
Did this while connected to city water not too long after we got the camper. Shut the city water off and ran off the pump and the issue seemed to go away. Figured it was dirt/debris in the pump.
When it back filled the tank this time, I tore the pump apart and cleaned it. There was some particles but nothing of any size. Put it all back together and it was still leaking past the check valve.
Ordered new pump...problem solved.
