Stranded in Dayton

Well, stranded in Dayton but surrounded by malls and hotels. So in the grand scheme of things I am lucky. All repair shops are closed today so I am tucked in to at the very least tomorrow some time.

I have 3500lb axles on the trailer below, I have measured the length of the springs (32" straight end to end 1-3/4" wide mono) and I can't find them on the Lippert site, also, what weight capacity should each spring be.
If I wanted to upgrade them, what could I reasonably go up to?

I have all the tools needed to make the repair, and I have enough cuss words stored to finish it.
Any insight/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

That really sucks! I am sorry, look for spring shops. You don't need to stick to the Lippert website. Amazon may just have them.

there are no tags on my axles and after reading BusterBrown's post, we have basically the same trailer. His springs unsprung are the same length, the one i measured is now flat, lol.
Big concern at this point, is if I have to order new, I want to do them all. i would be so P***ed if I got back on road and broke another. I would like to upgrade and get it done but need to know what I should look for.
Thanks Chuckster, beer is cheap here and in the shade, could be a heck of alot worse.

Dexter has 27" for my trailer, do they elongate to 31" when compressed?

Do you have any springs on your trailer that aren't flattened out? I know you want to measure the spring length with NO LOAD on them.

The axles should have numbers stamped on them. Dexter uses the dot stamping on ones I have looked at. They are hard to find and some cleaning maybe needed to find them. A trick to find the numbers is use a flash light and aim it at the angle the axles run. If you shine it straight at the axles, like you would normally do to light something up do it is much harder to find. Finding them by feel is also next to impossible.

update:
Everything taken off "bad" side. All parts ordered through etrailer that will have it held at a UPS depot near where you are, should this happen to you.
Decided to change all parts in the process.
Have to cancel Nashville portion of trip
Hope everything goes as planned from here on in.

Thank you. The drivers side rear spring looks flat. Ordered new equalizer kit, I dont really want to punch out brass inserts in a parking lot.
