I disconnected the trailer from shore power and. Pulled the cover off the breaker /fuse box. All connections were good, nothing loose. I’ll be completely honest with you and I realized that the labels for the breakers were off a bit and I was shutting down the REC, causing the lights to go to battery power, making them dim. Once I flipped the right breaker off, there were no issues.
In relation to the hot water tank, I disconnected the element wires and put an ohm meter on the two terminals. It read “0”. I understand that to mean it’s bad as it should have about 8-10 ohms of resistance. I will have to order another one.
At the end of all this, I learned some good understanding of the electrical system and that there are some great people on here with some great knowledge. And hey, I get a surge protector out of the deal, and I am fairly confident there are no odd electrical issues in my trailer, just with me!
