Alpine 2019 3800fk DVD system

Hi

We have tried calling alpine, dealers, and accessing a ton of webpages but cannot find this info at all. Any one know if the built in entertainment system has a blu-ray? Or the model #? we tried chat even and were 'redirected' to a personal shopper... but we've already left a few messages at keystone and have had no response.

thanks in advance;

ciara

The sound system is made by Furrion and they do not make anything with Blu-Ray. I have not found any 12V RV system that has Blu-Ray.

From what I can find you have the Furion 5600 DVD radio system

https://www.furrion.com/store/audiov...tem-p-892.html

This is based on what I could find for factory installed items for your 2019 Alpine.

I’d just buy a Sony Vlue Ray DVD and be done with it. We have two in our Alpine. They are smart devices so you can also get Netflix , etc with them. And they regularly do firmware upgrades to keep the products current

"Sony Vlue Ray"? Is that a real product name or a typo?

We have a 2019 Alpine. Nothing in the material or in the unit identify it as a blue-ray player. That being said I haven’t tried anything but a regular DVD in it.

Alpine has gotten cheap in the newer years. My 2014 came with Sony Blue Ray. The one talked about here is not... link was posted that states specs and Blue Ray format not listed in their specs.

Ya, sadly we saw the 2015 brochure - Samsung and BOSE !! disappointing that they changed to no name tv and no name low end speakers and player etc. Seems we'll put in a media server and just copy our dvd's to that and go from there... (granting we can port into the no name tv... we shall see). hoping the tv at Least has Some smart features... :/
our previous rv had old sony and old sony surround (new at the time it was built) and we had upgraded it to 5.1 -- but to be fair - the entertainment centre had deep shelves and a drawer etc - lots of room to re-configure.

The TV is a Furrion and had a really nice picture. There are several HDMI ports on it too.

Please tell me what you buy as a media server. I’d love to put all our DVDs onto a drive and be able to play them at will. I’ve searched everywhere and can’t get a grasp on what to buy. Apple TV is a huge disappointment for me. Has a hard drive that you can’t put anything on.

Will Do Fish... It will not be a roku or apple tv etc cause 90% of the time we do not have access to data / wifi while camping (not enough to stream at least). But, I'll update the thread after DH sets it up. (we have a 4 inch binder of dvd's - weighs in at 10 lbs at least lol - so we're saving weight this way right? lol)
