Upgrading pin box

I posted this on the Montana forum and no response. Anyone here care to take a shot?

This question is for some of you wrench turners, like myself, who do all your own maintenance & repairs and have changed out your pin box.

My HC has the standard pin box. Thinking of changing to the MorRyde Rubber Pin Box. Here's the situation: my standard pin box can't be RAISED. My B&W hitch can't be LOWERED. Pin box is as high as it can go, and hitch is as low as it can go. No more holes left in either case.

I'm currently level when towing. If you've ever replaced your standard pin box with the MorRyde Rubber Pin Box, is the bottom of your pin the same height, from the ground when level, as your original pin box? Essentially, is the MorRyde pin base the same height from the ground (when your rig is unhooked and level)? I really want this to work out, BUT, I don't want to tow nose high!

Is there any dimenisions on either hitch. That should tell you exactly the info you’re after. I was looking up the same type of info when changing over to a Reese GooseBox. (Different heights but same principal with math)

When I changed from a solid pin box to a Rota-flex (rubber block) I just measured from ground to bottom of pin plate. Took off solid, put on new and measured. Exact same measurement.

I have replaced the Lippert 1621 extended pin box that came with my Cougar with a Mor/Ryde rubber pin box and did not find a difference in ride height. I just measured the two box's and see that there is no difference in the dimensions when measuring from the Pin "plate" where the Pin extends from to the first mounting hole on the side of the box. So it is, as described, the proper replacement for the original. I have other comments in regard to the swap and would be happy to answer a private message.

I have a High Country 305RL and tow with a 2016 Ram 2500 changed to a Moryde. No problems with change, a world of difference pulling though.

Replaced my factory lippert with a moryde rubber mount. Mounted in the same bolt holes, don't believe I had any appreciable changes in height.
