Tv cable access

Taking out fifth wheel out next weekend for a week long stay. This will be our third trip in our new unit. The first two times had some tv issues with cable being snowy! Blamed it on campground. If I have trouble this time, I want to check all connections behind tv. My problem is I have a front living unit. Tv is on lift behind fireplace. Cannot get hands in compartment to check any connections. How do I remove tv? If it’s held on with 4 screws, that will not be fun. Can’t even get my head behind tv to see screws to remove. Thanks for any info.

Many of the mounts are 4 screws in the television that are slid down into a "keyhole" slot in the mounting bracket. The slot looks like the old fashioned key hole that you lock with a skeleton key. To remove lift the tv straight up, then out. They can be very resistive and require some considerable upward force. I suggest using a mirror or take a picture of what's behind the tv.

Make sure your antenna booster is turned off if you want to see cable.

Like MandJ said, be sure to find the booster switch and turn it off when using cable. Also go to TV settings and assure you change from antenna to cable, then preform a channel scan.

I also have the Front Living Model with the TV on the power pedestal. First as has been said. Check the antenna power boost button. You can reach it with the TV in the full up position. Just under the bottom left corner of the TV.

Also, be aware, there is a plastic bushing on the top of the TV mount that sits over the screw drive. Mine keeps coming off and when it does you hear a very load bang when lowering the TV.

I have yet to remove the TV but raise it about 1/2 way up. Look over the top and you will see 4 screws connecting the mount plate to the TV. The mount plate itself it mounted to the screw drive with 4 allen type screws 2 on each side. You can loosen those and then slide the mount TV and all off. Full access behind and below is best done by removing the electric fireplace.

If you have LED lighting in the RV, turn all the lights off to see if your TV is having problems with interference. RF interference is quite common with the LED fixtures in RV's. I have one fixture that I can't turn on if I want to watch TV, and it's not the closest one to the TV, either.
