Battery disconnect

Just bought a 2018 Cougar 366RDS. If the battery disconnect is in the "off" position, should the levelers still work ? Mine do and I would think they would not be connected directly to the battery. Also, I can't find a switch for the small LED light located above the hitch. It's on all the time, no matter if the battery disconnect is "on" or "off". Any suggestions ?

Yes the landing gear should be wire directly to the battery normally thru a resettable breaker usually mounted inside battery compartment. I’d also look for a small switch in the battery compartment for the front docking lights that are on.

I have found the battery switch leaves items controlled by "remote" connected. When the battery switch is OFF the following still function: My 2 slide outs, the levelers, and patio lights if I use the 'remote control'.

I was surprised the lights worked. I found that if i use the remote to turn lights on, they REMAIN ON even if manual is off, and even if battery switch is OFF. So it seams you have to disconnect negative on battery to be sure no power is applied.

I'd rather have everything off when in storage.
Any thoughts about adding a second switch to be sure "ALL OFF"?

On my Carbon, the levelers, slideouts, and co2 detector all bypass the battery disconnect, pretty common I think. Also, on my trailer the switch for the hitch light is on the outside, right next to the generator access door.

If the remote turns on the light, it must be used to turn that same light off, or the system will not release control of that light to be operated manually.
