No heat at bedroom floor vent

Hello,

Just getting ready for our first trip out and fired up the furnace to check it. I get good heat out of the rear vent but no air/heat out of the front. Trailer is a Bullet 210RUDWE. Still warms up the unit but this cant be right can it? It is still under warranty.

Thanks, Jon

Lay a sheet of toilet tissue on the vent in the bedroom and turn on the furnace, if the toilet paper moves, the dealer will say "that's adequate, no problem"....

That said, the "3 inch dryer duct" that runs from the underfloor ducting to the bedroom is designed to "meander through the underbelly" while it loses heat to the structures in the underbelly. A part of the concept in maintaining "unfrozen pipes and holding tanks" is to provide heat from the furnace to those areas. One of the ways they do that is to "string uninsulated ducts through the space".... Granted, as you say, you can't feel air blowing out of the vent, but the bedroom is warm, the underbelly is not frozen and the furnace maintains the thermostat setting. To the dealer and Keystone, it's functioning as designed.

I didn't say "it's right" or "it's wrong" I said that based on 10 years of reading responses from owners on this forum, virtually every one of them reports they were told "It works as designed, no problem, no repair"....

Frustrating? Yes, likely, if you have a different perspective of what you think "it should do"....

I'm just letting you know what the results have been for virtually everyone over the past 10 or so years when they report, "The bedroom heat vent doesn't blow enough air".....

Are there some actions you (or the dealer) can take to increase the airflow? Yes, there are. But, the probability that the dealership is going to spend time (and money) on a repair that they can't get reimbursed for doing is very unlikely. So, I don't think you'll find the dealership or Keystone tearing into your trailer to fix something that nearly every one of us experience. Especially if it means that should you camp in freezing weather, the pipes in your underbelly will freeze and they "know you'll be back for that problem"....

Totally did not mean for it to come off like that, was chuckling when I typed it. Not much of a complainer, I can make do with a lot. Thanks for you input have a great day.

I have 4 vents, bedroom vent is furthest away from furnace. Very little air flow. I did check all vents with a IR reader and found the temps were lower than the others but still hot air. Seems that it is the norm and I did ask during the PDI.
We do not close the bedroom door and even with the low air flow the trailer does heat up fine. It was not long ago, few RVs had duct heat and a/c. They still warmed up back than. Ducts throughout the seem to do better than the older style.

Thanks Claudia

We got our first two nights in this weekend, and that's what we've come to think. Trailer stays warm, so we're happy. The bathroom blows like crazy witch is verry nice. Overall very happy with our little Bullet. Cant wait for next little longer trip.

If the bathroom is blowing hard, you can install a new vent with a damper to redirect some more air to the bedroom:

Thank you, the round style should do the job nicely.
