Wheel lug nut size?

I'm putting my tool kit together and want to make sure I include a folding lug nut wrench. Would one of the 4 Universal sizes on a wrench found in any auto parts store fit Keystone (2012 3220BH) lug nuts?

I would highly suggest a torque wrench and socket set for the lug nuts... rather than a folding lug wrench.. The side load on a trailer wheel is rough on lug nut torque...

X 2 on the torque wrench and socket. Doesn't have to be an expensive professional one. Go to Harbor Freight and use their 20% off coupon for an even better deal. Keep my good torque wrench in my tool box at home and my HF torque wrench in the trailer. One can never have too many tools!!

Me too. I used it the other day because I did not want to walk to the storage building in the back yard when the trailer was beside the house..

Good suggestions on the torque wrench - any idea what socket size for the wheel lug nuts? I'll probably carry a set of sockets, but curious if it matches the 3/4" socket I've currently squirreled away for the stabilizer jacks.

I also agree that a good quality torque wrench is a must have!

The wheels on our 331MKS use 13/16" lug nuts and require a thin-walled socket and short extension to prevent damage to the wheel or lug nut.

Instead of a four-way, I purchased an 18" breaker bar and keep a short length of pipe (galvanized fence post) as a cheater. This works for both the truck and the trailer.

I bought a torque wrench at Walmart for about $24.00 and it worked good. My Passport 2650BH HAS 13/16 lug nuts. Torqued at 110 to 115 flb.

A torque wrench is a must, however, it's purpose is to tighten the lug nuts. You still need something like your 4 way wrench to remove them. It is also good for getting the lug nuts on to snug. I put a wrap of tape on the correct end so I don't have to screw around getting to it.

I always carry a 13/16 socket and torque wrench. I also have a bottle jack to make sure I can get the tire off the ground. Always like to be prepared.
