Surge protector

We had a storm come threw North East Texas Monday and knocked the power out for a couple of hours. Power came back on we were watching tv when the power went out for a few minuites then came on then went out agan this happened 4 or 5 times. I ask at the office what was going with the power and they said nothing, it was just my 50 amp surge protector doing its job, no damage to my camper but with the power surging it could have messed up a lot of electronics glad I have it. Since we have a lot of storms around here and I like staying at older Corps or National Forest campgrounds I use both a Hughes Autoformer and a separate surge protector.
