Wag the Tesla

I hope this isn't one of our members, I can't imagine someone thinking that this is an OK towing situation. Can any of you all identify the model ?

Must photo shopped. I can’t even think the car would pull that size of a camper.

Looks like model X. With weight distribution hitch, it will tow 4,960 pounds with a maximum 500 pounds hitch weight. Payload 1347 to 1367. Results in at least 50% decrease in range.

Is the car as wide as a RV? or off set. The hitch would be on the far right rear area not center. Unless the RV is only about 5ft wide.

There is no slide on the road side and the windows/range hood vent and refrigerator vent all line up with either a 260BH or a 260TBWE. Both are right at 28'6", 7500 GVW. Even empty with no propane and a LiPO battery, that "poor tow vehicle" is overworked and outclassed...

Sure locks Photoshoped to me. The car doesn't appear to be centered to the trailer and not enough room beteen the car and the trailer.

I don't think that's photoshopped, it's just the angle of the pic. He definitely can't see anything in his rearview mirrors but trailer....

It seems no one in the world should do something like that but you see examples of it all the time traveling the highways. Crazy.

Did you take this pic or was it from the internet?

I would be "wary of fake news" but the shadows, both under the car/trailer and on the roadway, seem to match pretty good in angle and in intensity. If it's photoshopped, whoever did it sure took a lot of time to match the minor details better than the norm for "gimmick photos".

How does someone actually know towing specs on an electro-mobile? I am impressed!

I personally wouldn’t be caught dead driving that POS, let alone towing anything.

Tell us what you really think!
Is that just a Tesla or any EV?
How about the Ford Mustang Mach E? The only resemblance it has to a real Mustang is the pony emblem on the front & the tailights. I suppose calling it a Mustang is only way Ford might get anyone to pay attention to it.

I read an article about a year ago concerning how Ford came up with the name. There was, apparently a lot of discussion about a new (never before used) name, bringing back an old brand (Maverick or Thunderbird) or incorporating it into the current lineup (Taurus E or Fuzion E)...

Seems the guys who really are devoted to the Mustang are a lot more influential than the Thunderbird or the Escort guys.... Seems "strange to me" that Ford stopped production of almost all their "car models" then introduced what they hope to be "the future" in the form of a car, not an SUV or crossover...

IMHO, that "electric Ford" is a far cry from anything Mustang was ever intended to be and nowhere close to anything it has evolved into....

Not to change the subject, what about the new Bronco and G.O.A.T. Mode?
I can just imagine the jokes if I bought one

Haha! All, but I am far from impressed with the Tesla. Fit and finish are very subpar. Panels held in with velcro. Paint is the worst I have ever seen on a production auto. Looks horrible. Way too expensive for a disposable car.
Close buddy of mine has a shop that at any given time has about 5-10 Teslas in there.
Can’t get a cell phone battery to last more than 2 years, why would I expect an electric car battery to last longer?
Just a techy status symbol afaic.

If they wanted a name that better fit the Mustang Mach E they should have picked Mustang II....it looks more like it (probably IS more like it).
