Furrion Oven not working
Me again....
DW and I played with the Furrion oven tody, still will not light. What's the next step? Physically lighting the pilot light? If so, Where is that? 2019 Outback 260UML
Thanks!

We have trouble with ours too. I have to press in the knob for a while before I can get it to light.
The pilot on ours is way to the back, to the right of the burner. You'll see the probe for the spark electrode.

I always had to turn the oven knob to pilot and wait what seemed like forever before the sparker lit it. I think the capillary tube to the pilot must be tiny, because it’s that way on EVERY Furrion oven I have dealt with.

Well, as a Type II diabetic, I gotta watch what i eat, but man, I am having a hankering for some cornbread and pinto beans. Maybe some biscuits and chocolate gravy after bacon and pancakes off the Blackstone. So many possibilities now. But, mainly, I need some cornbread, Martha White style.

I was introduced to chocolate gravy many, many years ago at my brother's in-laws. It was the morning after Thanksgiving in Ruiodoso, NM (they had large property right next to the track) and coffee was brewing. While enjoying the morning air on the porch with a hot mug of Joe, I was handed a plate. I looked it over and thought to myself, "Chocolate over biscuits? This early in the day?" Well, I can't put into words how wonderful that was... it made an impact on me that I'll never forget.

Hey, I know!! My Mom used to do it for us every sunday morning before going to church. It was a tradition. It was either that or pure sorghum syrup on biscuits. Just use lots of butter on biscuits, especially if they are cathead size. Its truly a blessing to experience that. Glad you did.

Cornbread was excellent in the Furrion Oven. Only question I have now is, when setting a "pre-heated temp" for something, how do you know when it has been attained?
Biscuits are next!!

Generally speaking the burner goes out...
DW uses an oven thermometer

We have a couple of them; one sits in the oven and I believe the other is magnetic. It's amazing how far off an RV oven can be.....

For reference: RV oven can be up to 50 degrees off and still considered “good”. As a baker ( sourdough starter is over 27 yrs old) it’s a bit disappointing to say the least.
