I had Bilstein 5100's on my 2017 GMC 1500, loved the way it rode loaded or unloaded.
Then there was a post about 5100's vs 4600's and their applications now i'm confused
In the next year I will replace my stock and move to them again. Either or. Here is the link that baffled me.

Good luck

OP, posting your truck would be beneficial so folks could more accurately help you.

As far as the Bilstein thread, as I recall (did not re-read it) the OP was telling members of some info he had that said the 4600 series (OEM) would be better than the popular 5100 series because they were valved differently and wouldn't perform on the trucks as well as the 4600 would. I think the thread ended pretty much where it started - the 5100 series works great.

All that said, the 5100 series has models made for lifted and non lifted trucks so you have to make sure you get the one that fits. And yes, I would recommend the Bilstein 5100 (proper model). I've had 2 sets on non lifted trucks and they worked great.
