Grey tank won't drain

So, on first trip with new Montana High Country 338db, went to pull grey tank #1 handle and nothing happens. Indicator light says tank is full and we've been using shower so I know it's full. When doing walk through and just checking camper out before using, the drain had worked just fine. Anybody have any ideas?

Don't know why they would, but the dealer didn't by chance install a valve at the main outlet where the sewer hose would be connected? Does the operation of the cable have resistance, like you are pulling against the valve and the drag of the cable? If it comes out real easy, maybe the cable has come loose from the valve assembly. Good luck.

You have two grey tanks and two grey tank dump valves. it wouldn't be the first time Gilligan mislabeled the handles at the factory.

Our first 5er had the same issue.....turned out the factory did not take off the plastic cover on the dump valve. We were on the road for a couple weeks. I took apart the plumbing (on a grass field carefully). Was very suprised to find the plastic cover on the valve. Just glad it was grey water not black!

Found the problem

After dropping the bottom liner and wedging myself up in there, discovered they had mis-labeled the valves. When I thought I was draining the gray, I was actually draining the black and visa versa.

Whops they labeled it wrong AGAIN. Ah yes the people at Keystone are a great bunch of kidders aren't they? In saw this so many times on other forums that when I bought my Cougar I made the Dealer give me a clear section of drain hose so that I could see what was coming out. But mine were marked right. HAPPY CAMPING.
The clear section also helps when using the Black Water Flush
