Major screw-up, minor fix

Well.... Have never had any problem with winterizing and blowing out the lines in our units... However this past year, obviously did not/not hold the toilet valve open long enough while blowing out the lines. The Dometic 310 toilet valve cracked and was leaking when I de-winterized. Bought one off Amazon and was here in a week, installed in 10mins and good to go. We are ready to leave for Richmond this Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't feel bad about your goof. After being so careful about ensuring that I have turned off the little rocker switch (110v) in the HW heater when draining the tank for winterizing, I left it in the ON position and plugged in the RV from time-to-time over the winter.

Of course when I went to de-winterize the unit, I noticed that the switch was in the ON position, said a few bad words and had to replace the fried heating element.

It happens to all of us.

How much was that over-sight worth? This is the first unit we have had with dual heating in the HWH, I've been attentive to that so far....
