Need new tires

Looking for help from any locals in the Phoenix area. Just arrived at Lost Dutchman SP. Just replaced a blown tire and one other is very worn down. So I need a place to buy new tires, and have them mounted of course.

Is anybody open Sunday? I am guessing I'll need to wait until Monday. Any tire store or RV dealers to recommend on the east side of Phoenix?

I would prefer Goodyear Endurance but will take what I can get.

All my fault. Not china bombs(although I have trailer king and they may be chinese. Somehow I bumped up the gain and was probably locking up the back set of tires for some time.

The fifth wheel has ST225 75R15 tires.

The front tire on each side looks ok. They have 10-12k miles but I was thinking maybe I need to just get all four done.

I’d get 5 tires

Sorry to hear your trouble and I can’t help you on local tire shope. Couple of things about your post. Most folks around here consider Trailer Kings to be "China Bombs" and won't use them. Why do you think "bumping up the gain" would affect just the rear axle? All 4 brake sets are controlled by applying voltage from one wire. They all get the same voltage and if adjusted (mechanically) properly should be applying equal braking.

If the tread on the tires on the rear axle is worn down apreciably more than the front axle then you have a problem. Most likely that axle is bent or out of alignment.

Sounds like you have tire problems. First would be that you are still running TKs and have only had one tire fail. 2nd is that you replace all tires on the RV (5) IMO when replacing.

How do you have the gain so high that your back tires are locking up without your knowledge, or, just letting them do it? Obviously that creates a huge problem. And, you have an 11klb. 5th wheel running on 15" LRE tires. IMO that's too much trailer on too little tire. I'd upgrade to the LRFs.

As far as finding dealers, do you not have internet?

Ditto on above, if rear tires are wearing on inside, your rear axel needs to be replaced or needs alignment. This is a common problem and will ruin your new tires quickly.

Let’s see 15” tires on a “1/2 Ton” 5er pulled by a F350 4x4. Are you towing nose high?

There are 2 Discount Tire stores on the east side. There are several others scattered around. They might have to order from the warehouse or transfer from another store, so don't expect to get this done immediately.

If you can wait until tomorrow, Discount Tire on Camelback Rd in Phoenix shows 5 GY Endurance STs in your size in stock.....not open Sundays. Good luck to you.

Thanks. Discount Tire was the first place that I found on simple google search that claimed they had the tires in inventory. Both the Mesa location and the Apache Junction location indicated they had the tires. The Mesa location allowed me to schedule an appointment for Monday am. I did so for 9:45. They open at 8am so I can call and verify that they actually have them in stock. The website shows they are in stock but as noted they may be at another location or warehouse.

I now also see there is a Goodyear auto service right near the Discount Tire store in Mesa. That should give me a second chance if Discount Tire doesn't actually have them onsite.
