Under the shroud you will find cooling fins very similar to the ones on a home air conditioner. If they are partially exposed on the rear of the AC, they may get bent over time. The more distortion of the fins, the less effective they are. Get a fin comb at any auto parts store and gently straighten them out.
Also, the fins may become clogged with dirt and debris. I have used compressed air to blow them clean. Others may have different methods of cleaning them.
These RV A/C's will remove moisture from the interior of the trailer and then drip it out on the roof. You might see if you can locate the path of the water and clear it of dirt and debris.
